On August 13, Kapuso host Kim Atienza reacted to the E.A.T contestant Val Llamelo who wanted to be a celebrity before entering politics.
At the E.A.T segment, ‘Babala! ‘Wag Kayong Ganuuun’ on August 12, hosts Ryan Agoncillo and Allan K interviewed Llamelo, asking the University of the Philippines Diliman Summa Cum Laude and UP NCPAG Class Valedictorian about his course and possible plans of going into politics.
Llamelo responded via X (formerly known as Twitter), stating, ‘Parang gusto ko na lang mag-artista. Tapos pag sumikat ako, tumakbo ako sa politics.’
His response trended on social media, with many asking the E.A.T contestant.
Atienza reacted to the statement, revealing that he was in politics for 12 years before he joined the Television and showbiz industry.

As for Llamelo, he explained his reasons for wanting to gain popularity as a celebrity before entering politics.

Before entering showbiz and television, Atienza worked as a councilor of Manila from 1995 to 2004. Then in 2007, Manila Mayor Lito Atienza then asked him to run for Mayor, to which he declined and confirmed his retirement from politics.
While serving as a councilor, Atienza had actively pursued his broadcasting career in the 1990s at the DZEC Radyo Agila 1062 and ventured into hosting during the decade which he carried into the early 2000s.
He then ventured into his own show Matanglawin in 2008 and became a part of ‘It’s Showtime’ in 2009. Atienza then transferred to GMA Network and became the host of ‘Dapat Alam Mo’ and ‘TiktoClock.’
