On August 3, the Head of NYMA, Kat Ramnani-Bautista, discussed what it was like managing her husband, Christian Bautista.Â
At the media event for NYMA’s newest talents at Power Mac Spotlight Theater in Circuit Makati, which LionhearTV covered, Kat first joked about being Christian’s boss, by stating, “Di ba pangarap ‘yan ng lahat na maging boss mo ng asawa mo.”Â
She then highlighted how NYMA manages Christian’s career through one of their experienced talent handlers.
“Pero joking aside, may solusyon po ‘yan, simple lang po ‘yan, ipapasok ang third-party, pero hindi third-party in a relationship, third-party sa management. So in NYMA, we have the amazing Karen Tumbali–Karen heads my talent team.Â
“I look after the entire NYMA business, so Karen has 22 years of talent management experience. So Karen– personally, oversees Christian’s career and directions, with the partnership with Mr. Carlo Orosa and the rest of the Stages crew.”
Christian then proudly detailed his observations of Kat’s handling of NYMA.
“Lahat ng mga plano, naka-presentation deck, naka-excel, pinagplanohan, binigyan ng oras — and talagang pinag-isipan, may pagmamahal, mayroong ‘yeah katulad ng sabi nila, hinihingi muna nila, anong gusto mong gawin, tapos sige itry natin imbes na ito gawin mo. So may collaboration.”
As for his career, Christian shared why he joined up with NYMA, noting that he’s still co-managed by Carlo Orosa’s Stages.
“One of the reasons why I joined their wonderful company also, along with Stages, of course, is ‘yung direction nila, ‘yung strategy, especially–I need to be in this space, this digital space. So I’m so excited for the future and so proud.”
As for their artists, KROMA Entertainment’s NYMA unveiled the newest addition to their roster of ‘cosmic talents’ with Christian Bautista, Korean-American Singer Eric Nam, American Music Artist Jamie Miller, and social media personalities such as Abi Marquez and Buji Barbiera.
The new talents join Raco Ruiz, Kristel Fulgar, Frances Cabatuando, and Jukay Jurao as the talents under NYMA.
