Kapuso star Jasmine Curtis-Smith recently had the chance to revisit her showbiz roots as she returned to the iconic noontime show, “It’s Showtime!”
After an impressive 13-year hiatus, Jasmine graced the stage once more, reminiscing about where her journey in the entertainment industry began alongside her sister Anne Curtis.
During the show’s opening segment on Saturday, Jasmine wowed the audience with a dance production and expressed her gratitude for being back with the “Showtime” family. Vice Ganda fondly referred to her as a true-blue “Showtime baby,” as she had previously appeared on the program during its early days on television.

In an online segment, Jasmine shared her excitement about the surprise guesting, revealing that she had learned about it only the day before. She jokingly credited herself as the reason for her appearance, recalling how she used to accompany her sister Anne to watch “Showtime.” Due to her regular presence, she eventually found herself participating in productions with Anne.
Jasmine is the latest Kapuso star to grace ABS-CBN’s noontime program, joining a roster that includes the likes of Julie Anne San Jose, Ken Chan, Barbie Forteza, and Sanya Lopez. This has become possible since “Showtime” debuted on GMA-owned GTV Channel in July, marking a historic milestone in Philippine television.

The actress expressed her delight at the partnership between the two network giants, which allowed her to return to the show she holds dear. She likened the experience to receiving a warm and tight hug, expressing her gratitude for the opportunity to cross over to another network legally and professionally.
“It’s Showtime” also continues to air on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.
Meanwhile, Jasmine is set to be paired with Rayver Cruz in the upcoming GMA Afternoon Prime series, “Asawa Ng Asawa Ko.” The series tells the story of a woman named Cristy, who finds herself in unfamiliar territory after realizing there is no longer a place for her in the lives of her husband Jordan and their daughter Tori due to her extended absence.
