Veteran actress Janice Jurado has found herself caught in the midst of a brewing conflict with an undisclosed co-star from the cast of the ongoing production “Batang Quiapo.”
The acclaimed actress took to her Facebook account on August 8 to voice her disappointment and concerns regarding a fellow actor’s apparent desire to have her removed from the show.
While Janice did not explicitly identify the actor in question, her posts conveyed her frustration and implied that the co-star’s energy would be better spent on enhancing their acting prowess rather than attempting to influence casting decisions.
“Bakit ba atat na atat kayo na mawala ako sa batang Q,ayan wala na ako!ano masaya ka na,wag kang kampante baka ikaw ang sumunod!!!!ako alam ko hindi ako pababayaan ni direk coco,” Janice’s Facebook update conveyed.
In her online remarks, Janice emphasized that decisions about the cast should ultimately rest with the acclaimed actor and director of the project, Coco Martin.
“Isa sa cast batang Q ang atat na maalis ako,ngayon masaya ka na,nandyan pa ako sa batangQ,lagi mong sinasabi na maalis ako,marunong ka pa kay direk coco,may plano si direk wag mong unahan.. dapat mong gawin ang pag arte mo ang ayusin mo…,” her message asserted.
“Tiwala ako kay direk coco alam nya ang ginagawa nya,ano man desisyon ni direk coco igalang na lang natin,” she added.
Janice also pointed out that any plans for her role’s continuation or cessation should be directed by the director, emphasizing the importance of unity and respect within the production.
The veteran actress’s participation in “Batang Quiapo” has stirred some controversy due to her past claims regarding a relationship with the late Fernando Poe Jr., Lovi Poe’s father. This backstory has generated tensions within the production, with certain crew members expressing disapproval and advocating for discretion on Janice’s part.
It has also been rumored that Coco Martin, who is not only a lead actor but also the director of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” was disappointed by the situation.
