Isko Moreno, host of Eat Bulaga, found himself in the midst of a social media frenzy after making a reference to a popular soft drink brand associated with fellow hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.
During the August 22 episode of the ‘G sa Gedli’ segment, Isko engaged in a conversation with a contestant about her personal life. He casually asked, “May asawa? Nasaan?” to which the contestant responded, “Ah, umiinom pa ng sofdrinks, Yorme.”
Isko quickly quipped, “Ano ‘yon, Pepsi?” which prompted laughter from his co-host, Buboy Villar.
The remark raised eyebrows and led to speculation among netizens that Isko was making a subtle allusion to the ‘Pepsi Paloma’ controversy involving Joey de Leon and his fellow ‘Eat Bulaga’ hosts.

Joey de Leon, a veteran host of ‘E.A.T.’, has taken jabs at ‘Eat Bulaga’ and Isko in the past. He even used the term ‘tolongges,’ a word popularized by Isko Moreno to describe deceitful individuals.
Upon further investigation, it was revealed that Isko’s remark did not contain any explicit reference to the controversy. Various versions of the clip have been uploaded on TikTok, showing different reactions from viewers.
As of now, Isko Moreno has not provided any clarification regarding his mention of ‘Pepsi.’
