Young actress Andrea Brillantes recently made headlines with her humorous comments about wanting to date Ina Raymundo’s son, Jakob Poturnak, or her daughter, Erika.
In a vlog that has gained traction, Brillantes playfully expressed her admiration for Jakob, saying, “I found him very handsome… Hi Jakob, if you’re watching, I’m single now… but if you’re not single, maybe your sister Erika would do, I would date Erika.”
The comments were clearly made in jest, leaving many wondering if Brillantes was serious or simply having some fun with her friends.
Ina Raymundo, the mother of five and known for her sexy image as a Bench Body model, responded to Brillantes’ remarks during a dinner at Blackbird.
She shared her thoughts to Gisselle Sanchez who published this story in her Gossip Girl column in Manila Bulletin on August 29, stating, “I like Andrea, and I find her comments flattering and amusing. It’s raw and unfiltered. I’m also not sure if she was serious or just kidding around. Unfortunately, I cannot decide for my kids Jakob and Erika when it comes to their choices and love life. It’s really up to them. Also, the two are too busy in school abroad to comment on this.”

With Jakob’s name becoming viral thanks to Brillantes, it’s evident that many are interested in finding out more about him.
Jakob is a handsome young man of Filipino-Ukrainian heritage, standing at an impressive six feet tall. He has earned a college scholarship in the United States to play baseball for the Xavier Musketeers at Xavier University.
Xavier University’s baseball program competes at the NCAA Division 1 level and is known for producing players who are often drafted by Major League Baseball (MLB) teams. Jakob’s potential future in MLB has garnered significant attention.
When asked if he would accept a $2 million offer to be drafted by an MLB team, Jakob responded, ““Honestly, it’s too early to say. To be drafted into major league baseball is an honor. Still, I want to gain more training first with Xavier University, win games for them, and play baseball with my new team, the Xavier Musketeers. It was Coach Bill O’Conner who was the first to take notice of my talent and offered me a college scholarship and professional baseball training, I owe it to him to be able to train and play D1 baseball with such a prestigious team. I also have to check with my parents regarding all offers.”

Jakob acknowledged the role of his parents in his baseball journey, stating, “My dad Brian trained me since I was five years old. What I am right now, I owe everything to him. He even rented an open lot near our place and built an enclosed bullpen so I could practice my pitches and gain strength and speed, rain or shine. He believes that it’s 90 percent training and 10 percent games. My mom is my greatest baseball fan. She has taken me to all my baseball games since I was five. I owe a lot to them for all the support they gave me.”
So, it seems that Jakob Poturnak has a bright future ahead in the world of baseball, and his accomplishments are undoubtedly impressive. Brillantes’ playful comments about him have only added to his growing popularity.
As for Andrea Brillantes, whether she was joking or serious about dating Jakob, only time will tell. However, if Jakob does make it to the U.S. Major League Baseball, it appears that Brillantes has a promising future boyfriend on her hands.
