Professor Mohanbir Sawhney, the Associate Dean for Digital Innovation at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, gave an informative talk to business leaders and provided profound insights into harnessing the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) during the seminar-workshop, “Artificial Intelligence for Business Leaders: Driving Growth, Innovation, and Efficiency.”
The workshop, co-presented by GMA Network, John Clements Consultants, Inc. (JCCI), and the Northwestern University/Kellogg School of Management Alumni Association of the Philippines, concluded with resounding success, leaving attendees equipped with valuable knowledge to navigate the AI-driven landscape.
Throughout the one-day workshop, Professor Sawhney showcased his expertise in business innovation, digital marketing, product strategy, and AI application in business. He illuminated the vast potential of AI to drive innovation, operational efficiency, and enhanced customer experiences across various industries.
“I absolutely believe that some of the most promising cases for generative AI will be where humans and morals and machines work together to create superior outcomes because fundamentally, human beings have different skills than algorithms. Algorithms crunch lots of data; they are able to look at and see patterns from data very quickly. But human beings have creativity, empathy, judgment, morals, and ethics, and they are able to make mission-critical decisions. Human beings should always make life-and-death decisions. So, I think by putting a human loop with an AI model, we can achieve superior outcomes,” said Prof. Sawhney in an interview with GMA Integrated News.
Professor Sawhney’s profound observations on the responsible use of AI and the collaboration between humans and machines inspired and motivated business leaders from various industries to embrace AI’s potential as a transformative force for their businesses.
The success of the seminar-workshop is attributed to the joint efforts of GMA Network, Inc. and John Clements Consultants, Inc. Nonetheless, human intelligence is primordial, and we can only fully partake of AI’s beneficence if our natural intelligence is resolutely nurtured to the fullest potential.”
