On August 1, Kapamilya artists Gillian Vicencio and Yves Flores addressed whether they would give more to their love team in the name of fan service.
At the media conference for ‘RETOX: 2 Be Continued,’ which LionhearTV covered, Vicencio asserted that she and Flores only show their genuine side when portraying their characters.
“Yeah, kami po kasi, ayaw namin po namin ipakita ‘yung hindi namin talaga totoong ginagawa. So kung ano po ‘yung nakikita ninyo, ‘yun po talaga kami sa totoong buhay.”
Flores agreed with Vicencio, noting that he and Vicencio do not want to fake their emotions when portraying their characters to garner support for their spin-off series.
“Ayaw ko rin ng pinepeke ‘yung mga bagay-bagay para lang sa suportahan ng tao or para lang panoorin. Kung ano ‘yung nakikita ninyo sa amin ni Gill na kahit walang tao or kahit walang camera. Ganito lang talaga kami.”
He then shared that people often mistake them as true-to-life couples because of their genuine portrayal.
“Kaya din kami pinagkakamalang kami ng mga kapwa artista namin kasi minsan may mga event parang– parang kayo ba? Or minsan ‘yung mga kaibigan ko or like mga friend ko sa Soldier’s Heart, sila Nash, parang sinasabi nila, ‘Sinong Girlfriend mo?’ Si Gillian. Parang akala nila ganon, kasi ganito kami in real life.
“So may mga eksena parang ang dali lang kasi kung ano ‘yung mga nakikita ninyo sa eksena ganon lang din kami. Parang hindi na rin namin masyadong inaarte, parang kami na ‘to. Ito lang talaga kami.”
When asked about what was hindering them from taking their relationship to the next level, Flores responded, “Wala naman pong pumipigil sa amin, pero.”
Vicencio then revealed that Flores expressed his interest in courting the Kapamilya star.
“Siyempre for now po, trabaho po muna tapos tignan po natin kung saan siya papunta. Kasi masaya naman po kami sa–sabi niya po pwede daw po ba niya ako ligawan ng after two years, noong nagsho-shoot po kami ng ‘2 Good 2 Be True.'”
The spin-off series of KathNiel’s (Kathryn Bernardo-Daniel Padilla) ‘2 Good 2 Be True’ features Yves Flores and Gillian Vicencio, with the supporting cast including Mercedes Cabral, Earl Ignacio, Migo Valid, and Kate Yalung.
‘RETOX: 2 Be Continued,’ under the direction of Paco Sta Maria, started streaming via ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel on August 1.
