The long-running noontime show ‘Eat Bulaga’ has clinched the number one spot in television ratings, according to data from the Philippine National TV Audience Measurement (PHINTAM) and Rural TV Audience Measurement (RTAM).
Numbers released by AGB Nielsen Media Research Philippines for the date of August 21 revealed that ‘Eat Bulaga,’ which airs on GMA Network, achieved a PHINTAM rating of 3.97 percent. This placed it ahead of Tito, Vic, and Joey de Leon’s ‘E.A.T.’ on TV5, which garnered a rating of 3.91 percent, as well as ‘It’s Showtime’ on GTV and A2Z, with a rating of 3.09 percent.
In the RTAM category for the same date, ‘Eat Bulaga’ soared to a 4.11 percent rating, significantly surpassing ‘E.A.T.’ with 2.24 percent and ‘It’s Showtime’ with 2.89 percent.
The National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM) on August 21 also saw ‘Eat Bulaga’ achieve a rating of 3.88 percent, compared to ‘E.A.T.’ at 5.06 percent and ‘It’s Showtime’ at 3.23 percent.
When assessing specific show segments, ‘G sa Gedli’ on ‘Eat Bulaga’ stood out with the highest rating of 4.96 percent in RTAM on August 21.
Meanwhile, ‘E.A.T.’ saw its segment ‘Sugod Bahay Mga Kapatid’ leading with 2.49 percent in RTAM on the same date.
On ‘t’s Showtime,’ the segment ‘Mini Ms. U’ earned the highest rating of 3.15 percent in RTAM.
Speaking on behalf of Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE), the producer of ‘Eat Bulaga,’ lawyer Maggie Abraham-Garduque expressed their happiness at the achievement.
She emphasized that while ratings are important, their main focus remains on continuously improving the show to bring happiness and support to their viewers. The team is delighted to see that many people continue to find joy in ‘EB.’
