The finale episode of the widely-talked about Kapamilya revenge drama, Dirty Linen, obliterated its own record on the late primetime slot, in terms of concurrent online viewership. The series notably aired its finale last night, August 25.
On YouTube, where 90% or more of the Kapamilya Online Live viewers are traditionally tuned in, more than 201,500 live viewers saw tbe series’ finale episode. On Facebook, concurrent viewership peaked with 12,700 live viewers, bringing the total to more than 214,000. That’s enough to erase any previous high that the series was able to generate in the said platform.
On Twitter, the series’ official hashtag, #DLPagwawakas became the top trending topics, with its number of tweets reaching nearly 30,000.
The finale episode saw the fruition of Alexa’s plan to exact revenge from the Fieros, although it was not without great sacrifices. Alexa had to fake her death to enable herself and the rest of #TeamResbak, start with a clean slate.
As #DirtyLinen ends its terrific 7-month run on free television, it was also announced that the series makes its debut on the streaming platform, Prime Video. The 12 compressed exclusive Prime Video cut episodes of the series will be available to stream to its eager fans, starting September 7.
