On July 9, Kapuso actor-host Dingdong Dantes talked about how he balances his busy schedule for 2023 and his personal life.
At the media event for the fifth anniversary of ‘Amazing Earth,’ Dantes acknowledged that he has a jam-packed lineup of projects for 2023.
“Yes, I think mas busy ako ngayon, busiest ever sa buong buhay ko. Pero for me, being busy is good.”
He noted that what is important to him is having time for his family while ensuring he could fulfill his commitments.
“Ang pinakamahalaga naman diyan ay hindi ako nawawalan ng oras sa aking pamilya, ‘yan naman ang pinakamahalaga diyan. And nagagampanan ko ‘yung mga tungkulin ko properly ng walang naapektuhan. At siyempre, nagagawa ko ang lahat ng ‘yun ng masaya ako.”
He then remarked on his passion for his job as an actor, host, and storyteller.
“I really love what I do, I love my job here in the network. Lahat ng ginagawa ko ay passionate ako about and lahat ‘yun. So okay siya so far, because it’s siyempre it’s very, very fulfilling na maikwento ‘yung mga bagay na ito. Fulfilling din na gumanap sa mga ibang mga roles.”
He then surmised that the influx of projects was simply a coincidence.
“Although feeling ko, siguro nagkataon lang na nagkasabay-sabay talaga, pero kung manonood ka naman, hindi mo naman siguro maiisip ‘yun kasi iba-iba din naman ‘yung nanonood ng drama, iba ‘yung nanonood ng ganitong show. Although sana, lahat panoorin nila.”Â
He then clarified that while he does feel tired with all the projects he is currently doing, it does help him grow as an artist.
“Sa mismong proseso kasi na ginagawa ko eh gusto ko siya. Na kahit busy or kahit na– siyempre aminin mo, napapagod ka rin, eh nae-enjoy ko ‘yung ginagawa ko.Â
“And most importantly, it helps me grow as an artist. Like what– I mentioned, being part of Amazing Earth as a storyteller– also helps me grow as a citizen of this world because of the many things I learn every day.”
Currently, Dantes stars in the Kapuso Primetime series ‘Royal Blood’ and hosts ‘Amazing Earth. He previously hosted GMA Network’s Family Feud Philippines.Â
He also has a comeback movie with wife Marian Rivera titled ‘Rewind.’ The film is an official entry to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.Â
As for ‘Amazing Earth,’ the Kapuso informative show celebrates its fifth anniversary with a 3-part special starting July 14, Friday at 9:35 PM.Â
