In response to his love team partner Barbie Forteza’s boyfriend Jak Roberto’s viral ‘JRU Anti-Silos Class,’ David Licauco has introduced a playful counterpart called ‘DLSU,’ which stands for ‘David Licauco Seloso University.’
During a recent appearance on ‘Fast Talk With Boy Abunda’ on August 29, 2023, David humorously explained the meaning behind DLSU.
When asked about his tendencies to be jealous in real life, David candidly admitted that he can be jealous but emphasized that it’s all about context and being reasonable.
“Depende sa context or situation, di ba? Kung lalabas naman talaga yung girlfriend mo with her friends, kailangan maintindihan mo. Pero minsan, may guys na iba yung pakay. As a guy, alam ko kung ano yung lalakeng puwede mong pagkatiwalaan,” he shared.
“I mean, seloso ako in a way, pero I don’t really say it sa public, siyempre hindi naman maganda. Meron din siyang sariling buhay, may sarili akong buhay. Sarili ko lang, I just keep it to myself,” David explained regarding his level of jealousy.
David and Barbie are the lead stars of ‘Maging Sino Ka Man,’ a television adaptation of the 1991 blockbuster movie originally starring Sharon Cuneta and Robin Padilla.
The telecast of ‘Maging Sino Ka Man’ is set to begin on September 11, 2023, as a special limited series on GMA Network.
Despite having a strictly television relationship, David and Barbie are close friends. David referred to their bond as “good friends.”
“We’re good friends,” David affirmed.
He also shared that he and Jak are friends, and they often talk about the boyfriend’s relationship with Barbie.
“Pinag-uusapan namin. ‘Yung parang I received yung mga nangyari sa anti-silos. Pinag-uusapan namin kung magre-react siya o si Jak. Pero siyempre, tinatawanan lang namin kasi, at the end of the day, entertainers kami. We’re so happy to entertain,” David said regarding their discussions.
Regarding the fans of their love team who hope they will end up together in real life, David expressed understanding.
“Personally, I think kailangan kong intindihin on a fans perspective kasi humahanga sila sa amin. Although may mga hate, we try our best to understand that kasi meron din silang feelings,” David added.
