After more than a decade of perseverance and hard work, Chie Filomeno has achieved a significant milestone in her career by finally signing a network contract with ABS-CBN.
In an emotional revelation, Filomeno expressed her overwhelming gratitude for the opportunity that has come her way after an 11-year journey filled with ups and downs.
“The feeling is overwhelming. As in no words can describe what I am feeling right now kasi the journey that I had was really a rollercoaster ride. I wouldn’t trade it for anything else, kasi ang dami kong natutunan,” she humbly shared.
Having been nurtured by Star Magic and ABS-CBN for a significant portion of her life, Filomeno emphasized the depth of her happiness, noting that her dreams align perfectly with the network’s values.
“Alam mo ‘yung feeling na ito talaga ‘yung totoong dream come true. Ninanamnam ko siya. I am here for longevity also. ‘Yung gratitude din is over the ceiling,” she conveyed with a radiant smile.
When asked about the driving force behind her journey and eventual success, Filomeno attributed her unyielding determination to her parents’ unwavering support and sacrifices.
“My drive would definitely be my unconditional love for my family. Kasi hindi lang ako ‘yung nagsakripisyo, pati sila. ‘Yung sakripisyo na ‘yun, hindi siya utang na loob. This is something I want to give my parents because they deserve it,” she passionately explained.
Looking ahead with optimism, Filomeno shared her aspirations and eagerness to grasp every opportunity that comes her way.
“Ang dami ko pang gustong makatrabaho, besides learning new stuff. This is a new chapter of my life and ang dami ko pang matututunan. I am 26 but I am willing to learn,” she stated. “I would really love to work with sir John Arcilla also. Feel ko mas mapu-push pa ‘yung craft. Siyempre hindi ka naman pwedeng ‘Oh my gosh, anong gagawin ko?’ You really have to show your best.”
Currently, Filomeno is part of the highly anticipated movie “A Very Good Girl,” starring alongside Kathryn Bernardo and multi-awarded Filipina actress Dolly de Leon. This milestone contract signing not only represents a personal achievement for Filomeno but also signifies her unwavering dedication to her craft and her enduring commitment to her dreams.
