On August 15, ‘It’s Showtime’ host Amy Perez-Castillo asked understanding and patience from viewers amid the absence of other ‘It’s Showtime’ main hosts, Vhong Navarro, Anne Curtis-Smith, Vhong Navarro, and Jhong Hilario.
Perez-Castillo appreciated the comments from fans of the show about her and Kim Chiu leading the ‘It’s Showtime’ family amid the commitments of the other main hosts of the noontime show.
She then assured fans of the noontime show that the remaining hosts were holding down the fort while Vhong Navarro recovered from his illness.
“Pasensya ka na kasi kami ang natirang taong bahay kaya need namin alagaan ang bahay namin. Don’t worry sana gumaling na si Kuys Vhong para makapasok na siya.”
She clarified the other ‘It’s Showtime’ hosts’ commitments and vacation time.
“Si Meme naman, nag-vacation lang saglit kasi deserve niya ‘yun. Si Anne may ibang work na naka-sked at si Kuys Jhong nasa US.”
Earlier, rumors surfaced about the possibility that the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board would implement a more severe penalty on the noontime show, resulting in ‘It’s Showtime’ being taken off the air.
The seasoned showbiz reporter Cristy Fermin weighed in on the rumors, clarifying that MTRCB has yet to pass down a verdict on the violations of ‘It’s Showtime’ and ‘E.A.T.
