On July 21, Kapuso actor and Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards admitted he requested fellow GMA Network star Sanya Lopez to star in his ‘Magpakailanman’ Special.
At the media conference for ‘Magpakailanman,’ which LionhearTV covered, Richards remarked he wants to see how he and Lopez would work together following their short stint in Encantadia (2016.)
“Ni-request ko po talaga na sana makasama ko si Sanya dito. Opo, ‘yun may gagawin po kaming ‘yung pilot, which is the first episode. Kasi hindi ko pa po siya nakaka-work, and nakita ko ‘yung trabaho niya. So, gusto ko sanang tignan how we are, how we are together.
“Noong nag-Mulawin po ako sa Encantadia, kami po ‘yung magkasama nun, pero short lang po ‘yun.”
As for selecting the stories for his Magpakailanman Special for August, Richards detailed the process he went through with the creatives of the Kapuso show.
“Sa stories po, ‘yun nga po since nabigyan ako ng opportunity to choose, kung ano ‘yung mga parang total of ten scripts, or ten concepts, or mga nasa banko po ng mga creatives natin. And then ito po yung mga napilli ko na mga magandang roles.
“And then, ‘yung with regards doon po sa cast, parang mayroon din po akong kung sino ‘yung gusto mo makasama diyan. Parang this is a perfect opportunity for me to really see kung sino pa po ‘yung mga okay na makatrabaho and when it comes to you know.”
He then hinted at his upcoming roles in the Magpakailanman Special.
“‘Yung mga roles ko po kasi lately dito ay may asawa, so iba-iba po siya. Parang ang wala lang po is ‘yung sa social media po, ‘yung pangalawa, ‘yung Epal Dream Boy, parang wala po siyang ano nun–partner. Pero ito pong first at third, mayroon po, pero po itong last hindi ko pa po sure kung may leading lady.”
As for his upcoming Magpakailanman special, Richards stars in four independent episodes of the Kapuso anthology series starting August 5.
The episodes include ‘A Runner To Remember,’ ‘Epal Dream Boy,’ ‘The Lost Boy,’ and ‘Sa Puso at Isipan.’
