On July 21, Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards expressed his interest in having Kapamilya actor Joshua Garcia portray him in the ‘Magpakailanman’ follow-up of his life story.
At the media conference for ‘Magpakailanman,’ which LionhearTV covered, Richards clarified that he would appreciate it more if someone else would portray him in the follow-up of his life story featured in ‘Magpakailanman’ in 2013.
“Siguro po, mas maa-appreciate ko po kung iba ‘yung aarte. Tapos of course.
“Uy si Joshua Garcia, nasa GMA na. Bakit hindi siya di ba? Parang gusto ko po sana, kung ‘yung unang part po ng buhay ko is 2013 pa po ‘yun eh. Ten years ago na po pinalabas ‘yung life story ko po. And ‘yung gusto ko po sanang highlight naman, kung magkaka-part two is I want the episode to be a feel good episode and inspirational.”
He then remarked that he wanted his MPK follow-up episode to highlight his showbiz journey to where he is now in his career.
“Siyempre sa journey naman po ng buhay, hindi naman po lahat nagiging masarap ang buhay. Lagi ‘yan kumbaga yin and yang ‘yan. In every good, there is a bad, and in every bad there’s always a good, so it’s a cycle, it’s a continuous journey and ‘yun po.
“Kasi doon po parang life story ko when we are kids, noong naghirap po kami, ‘yung condition po ng Mom ko, and towards her death bed, and ‘yung nag-start po ako mag-artista etc. So kung may second part man po, sana that part going to where I am po now.”
When asked about the life story he wants to portray in future ‘Magpakailanman’ episodes, he asserted that he would like to take on the role of GMA Network Chairman and CEO, Atty. Felipe L Gozon.
“Si FLG, si Mr. Gozon. Si sir Gozon po, iportray natin ‘yung buhay ni Mr. Gozon. Yes po kung papayag po si Boss.”
As for his upcoming Magpakailanman special, Richards stars in four independent episodes of the Kapuso anthology series starting August 5.
The episodes include ‘A Runner To Remember,’ ‘Epal Dream Boy,’ ‘The Lost Boy,’ and ‘Sa Puso at Isipan.’
