The Kapuso afternoon drama ‘Abot Kamay Na Pangarap (AKNP)’ continues its uninterrupted streak of dominating the nation’s television viewership.
This achievement was once again solidified as AKNP claimed the top spot on the overall Saturday ratings chart according to the latest report from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey.
On Saturday, August 19, AKNP once again soared to the top of the ratings chart with an impressive rating of 11.3 percent.
This marks the second time in which AKNP has secured the leading position on a Saturday leaderboard since July 29, when it achieved its highest rating ever of 13.9 percent.
It’s also worth highlighting that AKNP is the only Saturday program that has reached double-digit ratings.
Its closest contender, ‘Battle of the Judges,’ attained a rating of 9.0 percent, securing the second position, followed by ‘Magpakailanman’ in third place with 8.9 percent.
Formerly occupying the top slot, ‘Pepito Manaloto,’ now ranks fourth with 8.8 percent, while ‘Tadhana’ holds the fifth position with a rating of 8.5 percent.
In addition to its reigning position in the ratings race, AKNP has also garnered a substantial online following. The episode, which aired on Saturday, August 19, has amassed more than 3.4 million views on YouTube since its upload four days ago.
Given its triumphs in both the digital world and conventional television, speculations about AKNP’s potential extension have surfaced.
In a recent interview with LionhearTV, AKNP’s lead star, Carmina Villaroel, playfully hinted at the prospect of the show’s extension until 2028. Although her statement was clearly made in jest, it has ignited curiosity among the dedicated AKNP fan base.
