The Kapuso flagship primetime newscast, ’24 Oras,’ continues to dominate the ratings chart, maintaining its position at the top.
According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey, ’24 Oras’ has solidified its lead in the ratings game with renewed vigor, outperforming other programs.
On Monday, July 31, ’24 Oras’ experienced a remarkable surge, achieving a TV rating of 17.1 percent, its highest since May 25, 2023, when it scored 17.2 percent. Previously, the show’s ratings hovered around 13 to 15 percent.
However, on the following day, Tuesday, August 1, ’24 Oras’ saw a slight drop of 2.5 percent, settling at 14.6 percent. Nevertheless, it still maintained a 1.1 percent lead over the second-place program, ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,’ which scored 13.5 percent.
Undeterred, on Wednesday, August 2, the Kapuso newscast quickly bounced back, gaining 1.3 percent to reach 15.9 percent, once again leading with a 1.4 percent margin over the second-ranked ‘FPJBQ,’ which obtained a rating of 14.5 percent.
With the viewers’ renewed interest in ’24 Oras,’ the question remains: Can the show sustain and expand its lead, securing the number one spot in the ratings leaderboard? Or will ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,’ currently at number 2, reclaim the top position and push ’24 Oras’ down the rating chart once more? Only time will tell.
