Vince Rillon and Jay Manalo recently starred together in the Vivamax original film, ‘Hosto,’ which premiered last June 16. According to Vince, he had to ask his co-star to shave his mustache as they filmed their intimate scenes.
Vince shared a funny incident with his co-star, Jay Manalo, stating, “Kuya Jay, mag-shave ka naman, nakikiliti ako.” He recalled, “Pagdating niya pa lang dito [on set], sabi niya bakla na siya, hindi pa nag-take, nilalandi niya na ko sa kama, inaamoy-amoy niya ako.” Vince jokingly added, “Sabi niya, ‘Acting lang ‘to, hayaan mo ko.'” to which I replied, “Sige kuya, sundan kita.”
For his portrayal in ‘Hosto,’ Vince revealed that he had to forget about his recently won best actor award in the 19th Asian Film Festival.
Regarding the love-making scenes with Jay Manalo, Vince shared, “Nung una, nakita nila na ilang na ilang ako – kasi hindi ko naisip na si Kuya Jay Manalo, bakla yung role,” and he further explained, “Go si Kuya Jay, ang sabi niya, ‘Siya [Vince] ang tanungin niyo, dahil ang laway ng babae at lalake, pareho lang yan.’”
On his character, Patrick, he revealed that he would do the same thing himself to help a sibling who got imprisoned and to show his unconditional love for his family. Vince stated, “Hindi mo rin naman matitiis yun – Pag pamilya yung usapan, makikipag-patayan pa ako.”
Like his character in the film, Vince expressed that he’s open to being in a same-sex relationship, stating, “Wala sa gender yun, pag ang puso mo umiral, tanga-tanga na yung utak mo. – Basta wala kayong tinatapakang tao.” He added, “Maari, kahit ano yung gender, love kita.”
