Renowned comedian and content creator Michael V. has been receiving accolades for his latest parody song, “Oh Wow!”, which was released on Bubble Gang last night (July 30).
However, not everyone seems to be a fan, as motivational speaker and social media personality Rendon Labador expressed his dismay over the viral music video.
“Oh Wow!” is a parody inspired by the OPM hit song “Uhaw” by the band Dilaw. Written, performed, and directed by Michael V., the four-minute-long video featured Direk Bitoy portraying four characters of the band Hilaw while performing inside a Waste Truck.
The parody song quickly gained popularity, amassing 3.1 million views on TikTok within 24 hours and over 1.8 million views on Facebook, with reactions still pouring in.
Michael V. tweeted, “Bato-bato sa langit ang tamaan… … e ‘di wow,” in response to the video’s remarkable views on social media.

Although not explicitly mentioning anyone, Rendon Labador, known for his outspoken opinions, took to his Instagram story to express his feelings about the music video.
He wrote, “Michael V hindi maka move on. Masyado kang madamdamin, mas lalo kang ma lalaos niyan.”
Moreover, Rendon highlighted that his name alongside Michael V. became one of the trending searches on Facebook, indicating the significant impact of the parody video.
This is not the first time that Rendon Labador has taken issue with Michael V. In May this year, he voiced strong criticism against the Kapuso star’s statement, “The first thing any content creator should understand is the meaning of the word: CONTENT.” Rendon posted this report on his Facebook page with a caption that read, “INFLUENCERS are the new celebrities! Kung hindi ninyo kayang makipag patalinuhan sa mga INFLUENCERS sa pag produce ng content.
“Manahimik nalang kayo. MAINSTREAM IS DEAD!!! Social media is the NEW MAINSTREAM.”
He further added, “Masakit na katotohanan na laos na kayo. WE CONTROL THE MEDIA NOW.”
With such history between the two personalities, it is unsurprising that Rendon Labador was vocal about his feelings regarding Michael V.’s latest viral parody song.
Michael V. is no stranger to creating viral parodies, as seen in his previous hit “Gusto Ko Nang Bumigay,” featured in the anniversary episode of the flagship gag show last year. However, this time, the comedic talent’s “Oh Wow!” has seemingly struck a different chord for Rendon Labador and garnered mixed reactions from netizens.
