Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, also known as TVJ and the legit Dabarkads, declared July 29, 2023, as “National Dabarkads Day.” They will hold a grand celebration at E.A.T. on TV5 to commemorate the 44th anniversary of the country’s longest-running noontime show, Eat Bulaga!, where TVJ originally hosted.
The celebration will coincide with the grand celebration of the revamped Eat Bulaga!, the show they left after 44 years of nurturing it.
Joey tweeted last night, July 27, 2023, with a playful tone, “We are breaking records! We are the only show na katapat ang sarili naming show! And on Saturday, July 29, we will have a ‘double celebration!’”

On July 26, 2023, Joey and TVJ once again made a statement about the program they started and still claim ownership of, Eat Bulaga!.
It’s National Dabarkads Day on July 29! 💙 14344!

In Joey’s post, they were seen inside the dressing room of E.A.T. at TV5, wearing red T-shirts with the number “44” printed on them. There was a red and white cake in front of them, with “Happy 44” written on it.
The numbers “14344” surrounded the cake, which stands for “I Love You Very Much.” The “44” symbolizes the 44 years of Eat Bulaga!.
How will you celebrate 44 years if you don’t count and include the PAST? Ngek! 🤪 pic.twitter.com/bMa55X5PYu

In the caption, Joey directly alluded to the revamped Eat Bulaga!, stating, “You cannot complete and celebrate 44 years without the PAST! [winking face with a big open grin and its tongue sticking out emoji] 14344 Dabarkads!”
Meanwhile, Tito and Joey attended the hearing at the Marikina Regional Trial Court yesterday, July 27, 2023. This is related to the copyright infringement and unfair competition complaints they filed against TAPE and GMA-7. This is related to their desire for TAPE Inc. and GMA-7 to stop using the title Eat Bulaga!, segments, and audio-visual recordings after TVJ bid farewell to the longest-running noontime show on May 31, 2023. The first hearing of the case took place in the courtroom of Judge Romeo Dizon Tagra of Branch 273 of the Regional Trial Court of Marikina City.
