On July 2, actor-host Matteo Guidicelli recounted how he and Pop Royalty Sarah Geronimo began ‘adulting’ amid the pandemic.
At the media event for ‘Sarah G Under The Sun,’ Guidicelli began his account of their pandemic experience with their marriage happening in February 2020, weeks before the lockdowns.
“You know, we got married in February 2020, and a week after that, lockdown because COVID happened. We stayed in a condominium for six months, kaming dalawa lang and ‘yung isang aso namin na si Ofur, and it was actually a challenge, but I loved the challenge. I loved it, and I had a great time.”
He then detailed how he realized that they, as a couple, have started ‘adulting,’ citing how he created an Excel sheet for their finances.
“But the first-day sabi ko, ‘Love this is the first day na adulting na kami ba. Na ito na ‘yun–this is our life together. Let’s start it off properly and nicely.’ Kumbaga.
“So the first thing I did was open an Excel sheet. Feb 21, 2020, our first lockdown– the next day–two days after, Feb 20 to 22, the first lockdown and our first expense. So from that day up to today, all [of our expenses] are there. So I try to be a responsible husband.”
As for Geronimo, she thanked Guidicelli’s father for helping them out financially during the lockdowns.
“And thanks to your Papa, Tito John, talagang very supportive and helpful sa amin pong mag-asawa, pagdating po sa handling our finances and investments.”
As part of Sun Life Philippines’ campaign, Geronimo and Guidicelli top-billed the insurance company’s thematic video underscoring its promise of being a ‘Partner for Life.’
The couple co-created the video with Sun Life, which shows how they support each other as life partners. The video will be available via national television and on @SunLifePH through Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
Geronimo also voiced Sun Life’s newest jingle, Kasa-Kasama, with fellow Sun Life Ambassador Inigo Pascual who co-wrote the song. Currently, Sun Life Philippines has Geronimo, Guidecelli, Piolo Pascual, Inigo, and Donny Pangilinan as ambassadors.
