Many were delighted when Karylle, the original actress who portrayed Sang’gre Alena, greeted Gabbi Garcia during her guest appearance on It’s Showtime yesterday, July 1. Among those who were happy was Mark Reyes, the director of the two Encantadia series.
Although Karylle couldn’t attend the grand opening of It’s Showtime on GTV, one of GMA Network’s free-to-air channels, she still expressed her support through a video greeting.
Karylle’s greeting had the meaning of “Asnamon voya nazar,” which translates to “I’m a traveler, Asnamon tree. Take me to the world of Encantadia/of mortals.” This is said in front of the Asnamon Tree, the portal from the world of Encantadia to the human world.

Many other artists also agreed with Direk Mark and expressed their desire to be part of the multiverse of Encantadia.
Yasmien Kurdi, who played Lira in the first Encantadia in 2015, wrote a message saying, “Ehem direk ehem 😋 masaya yan.”
The first Encantadia was aired in 2005, with Iza Calzado, Karylle, Diana Zubiri, and Sunshine Dizon portraying the four Sang’gres, Amihan, Alena, Danaya, and Pirena.
This was followed by the requel of Encantadia in 2016, featuring Kylie Padilla, Gabbi, Sanya Lopez, and Glaiza De Castro as the Sang’gres.
Stay tuned for the continuing story of Encantadia with the Sang’gre, coming soon on GMA Telebabad.
