On the pilot episode of ‘E.A.T.’ last July 1, Joey De Leon’s sudden remark created noise on social media as it possibly hinted at Paulene Luna’s second pregnancy.
As the hosts performed the song ‘Rock Baby Rock,’ they called in audience members to the stage, specifically family members of the hosts. One of which was Pauleen Luna, the wife of Vic Sotto and a former host of ‘Eat Bulaga!’
Upon joining the hosts on stage, Luna was greeted by De Leon in a joking manner.
“Hoy, buntis!” De Leon quipped, earning Luna’s playful nudge on stage.

This became a hot topic online as there were already rumors about the second pregnancy even before the episode.
Some netizens thought De Leon’s remark was a confirmation of the rumors. One user wrote, “Buntis nga si Pauline, sabi ni jdl hoy buntis (emoji).”

However, some netizens were still skeptical as there was still no official confirmation from the actress-host. A few also expressed their shock at De Leon’s sudden remark in the show.

The pregnancy rumors surrounding the actress started when netizens noticed she was not present during Kath Hermosa’s wedding and only Vic Sotto accompanied their daughter Talitha to the event.
The speculations grew when netizens noticed her plump appearance on a photo she posted on Instagram.
Rumors continued to escalate after Luna was not seen as one of the hosts of TV5’s ‘E.A.T.’ She was also not present at the media conference for the show last June 20.
Netizens started wondering if Luna would continue to work alongside her husband as a host of the same show. However, it was confirmed that she was not co-hosting ‘E.A.T.’ when she came as part of the audience during the show’s debut.
Luna was spotted crying together with the other family members of the hosts after TVJ’s emotional entrance.
As of this writing, Luna remains mum about the pregnancy rumors.
