Filipino actor, TV host, and politician Jhong Hilario and Filipina actress and host Kim Chiu thanked ABS-CBN and GMA Network as ‘It’s Showtime’ moves to a new home.
On June 28, ‘It’s Showtime’ hosts Hilario and Chiu conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to the managements of ABS-CBN and GMA Network on behalf of the ‘madlang pipol.’ They expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to have GMA’s GTV as the new home for ‘It’s Showtime.’
Jhong Hilario also expressed his gratitude to both networks and highlighted his past experiences of working with GMA. He said his dance group Streetboys used to appear in various Kapuso shows. He also mentioned how GMA Films made way for him as an actor when he did the films ‘Sa Pusod ng Dagat,’ ‘Jose Rizal,’ and ‘Muro-ami.’
Hilario expressed his heartfelt thanks for the partnership that welcomes ‘It’s Showtime’ and its faithful viewers to a new home in GMA.
Maraming-maraming salamat and God bless you more po.”
The actor also shared his thoughts on the historic deal, emphasizing what Felipe Gozon said about the end of TV war.
A great man is always willing to be little.’ Maraming salamat po sa inyo.”
Notably, as the TVJ permanently airs on TV5, taking over the ‘It’s Showtime’ timeslot, GMA Network has provided ABS-CBN the opportunity to broadcast ‘It’s Showtime’ on GTV every noontime.
The historic battle of the noontime shows happened last July 1 as TVJ’s ‘E.A.T.,’ TAPE’s ‘Eat Bulaga!’ and ‘Its Showtime’ aired simultaneously.
