After sparking speculation that his tweet may have referred to Star Magic’s 30th anniversary catalog, Kapamilya actor JC Alcantara issued an apology for his now-deleted post.
On Saturday, July 8, JC tweeted the following message: “Naol [sana all] my favoritism, lagi [na lang] tayong option.”
The tweet coincided with the recent launch of the “Star Magic 30” catalog on July 7, leading to several Twitter users assuming that JC Alcantara’s now-deleted tweet was referencing it. The speculation gained more traction as fellow Kapamilya actor Janella Salvador also posted a cryptic tweet on the same day, leading people to believe they were referring to the same thing.
The young Kapamilya star, however, emphasized that his posts were unrelated to Salvador’s post and the buzz surrounding the Star Magic Catalogue.
In another social media post on July 11, Alcantara expressed regret, acknowledging that his tweet may have hurt some people’s feelings. He clarified that he was not aware of the trending post about Star Magic and that he normally shares similar content about life on social media.

Alcantara has been part of the Star Magic family since 2019. JC rose to fame after his breakthrough role in the digital Boys’ Love (BL) series ‘Hello Stranger’ in 2020. He also starred in season 2 of DonBelle’s iWantTFC series ‘He’s Into Her’ and the iWanttTFC barkada series ‘Tara G!.’
Currently, he’s being seen in the new LGBTQ-themed iWantTFC series ‘Drag You and Me,’ along with Andrea Brillantes.
