After the success of ‘Lolong,’ Kapuso actor Ruru Madrid is making a comeback via the action-packed series ‘Black Rider.’
GMA Network recently announced the ensemble cast of the highly anticipated show and with its lineup, it appears to be similar to the casting strategy of FPJBQ. This is evident in the mix of actors making their return to showbiz such as Gary Estrada and Rainier Castillo, and the inclusion of popular content creators and social media influencers.
Joining Madrid in the series are actors Katrina Halili, Matteo Guidicelli, and Jon Lucas.
The cast of ‘Black Rider’ also includes veteran actors Raymond Bagatsing, Gladys Reyes, Raymart Santiago, Zoren Legaspi, Rio Locsin, Roi Vinzon, and Almira Muhlach.
Also joining them are Maureen Larrazabal, Aleck Bovick, Bodjie Pascua, Marco Masa, and Ashley Sarmiento.
Meanwhile, leading the social media influencers in the cast are Pipay, Whamos, Turing, Tito Vince, and Salome Salvi.
In a recent interview with GMA News published on GMA Public Affairs’ Instagram account on June 30, Madrid shared that ‘Black Rider’ was his childhood dream as he has always aspired to become an action star.
“Itong ‘Black Rider’ ang isang proyekto na matagal ko nang pinangarap. Bata pa lang [kasi] ako, pangarap ko nang maging action star.”
