Bimby Aquino, the son of Multimedia Star Kris Aquino and Basketball Star James Yap, is rumored to join showbiz as he was seen in a photo together with the Cornerstone Executives.
On June 29, a photo of Bimby Aquino alongside Cornerstone Executives started circulating, fueling rumors about his potential entry into Philippine showbiz following in the footsteps of his famous mother.
The talent agency shared the photo on Instagram, where Bimby was seen with Cornerstone executives and veteran TV host Boy Abunda. The agency captioned the post with, “The Cornerstone fam with Bimb. Exciting days are truly ahead for the young star.”
It was also mentioned that Asia’s King of Talk Boy Abunda stood in as a guardian for Bimby while Kris was still away. The comment section was quickly filled with positive reactions and expressions of support from netizens, eager to see Bimby’s journey unfold.
Since Boy Abunda stood in as a guardian for Bimby, it is believed that Abunda could potentially become Bimby’s manager.
In June 2020, Kris Aquino made a comeback after taking a break from the public eye and signed a contract with Cornerstone, marking her return to the entertainment industry. However, she started battling autoimmune diseases, which led to another hiatus in showbiz.
Currently, Kris Aquino is undergoing treatments for her conditions while residing in the USA as Bimby has returned to the Philippines after staying with his mother.
As Bimby follows in his mother’s footsteps, the projects that Cornerstone will secure for him remain to be seen.
