Belle Mariano was asked if she and Donny Pangilinan have already exchanged “I love yous,” but her response wasn’t straightforward.
During a conversation with Vice Ganda for the comedian’s vlog, Belle responded with a nervous laugh and suggested directing the question to Donny instead. She admitted that she believes they are still in the courting stage and couldn’t specify how long it will last.
“Hindi ko alam [kung gaano katagal yung ligawan], hindi ko masabi. Feeling ko ongoing pa rin,” she said.
One thing Belle appreciates from Donny is his consistent act of giving her food, a gesture she never tires of. As for the future of their love team, Belle expressed that in 10 years, they might still want to work together, but she also wants to explore more opportunities, including directing. “Feeling ko by then, we’d still want to work with each other pero siyempre I would like to explore more. Gusto ko mag direct, siya rin gusto niya mag direct.”
Belle and Donny even had a conversation about the possibility of being paired with other actors in the future. They both agreed to support each other and not be hindrances to each other’s growth, whether it’s for individual projects or working together. “Actually pareho po kami [na open magkaroon ng ibang partners in the future]. Nagkaroon kami ng conversation na we’re going to be there to support one another. Ayaw namin maging hindrance sa growth ng isa’t isa whether individual or together yung project namin.”
Recently, it was announced that Belle and Donny will star in their first primetime series titled “Can’t Buy Me Love,” directed by Mae Alviar Cruz. This marks another milestone in their career as a love team, following their success in the iWantTFC series “He’s Into Her” and their movie “Love Is Color Blind.”
Belle and Donny gained popularity as a phenomenal love team in 2021, breaking records with their projects and captivating audiences with their on-screen chemistry.
