On July 22, Beaver Magtalas and Mutya Orquia addressed the possibility of being a real-life couple.
During the story conference for their upcoming film ‘ Magic Hurts,’ which LionhearTV covered, Magtalas cited that they know their boundaries but remained open to the possibility.
“Ano naman po, we know the boundaries of work and in real life, so who knows, hindi po ako sasagot ng hindi, hindi rin po ako also– it’s up to the future.”
Orquia clarified that she and Magtalas are currently enjoying their friendship.
“Yes, agree din po ako doon since, ako rin po, hindi naman ako nagmamadali in life and kami po, ine-enjoy lang po namin ‘yung friendship as of now.”
As for their roles, Magtalas talked about how their natural connection as friends helped portray their characters.
“I feel like when it comes to our connection po. There’s a lot of things na kailangan pa namin i-improve when it comes to that. Pero, ‘yun nga po, it pretty natural in some cases po, kasi we’re very close friends. So hopefully, kailangan po namin maipakita po namin ‘yun sa mga taong nanonood.”
Orquia agreed with Magtalas, noting how their closeness would help with their scenes.
“‘Yun nga po, mayroon na po kami talaga kasing natural connection. So close na po talaga kami so feel ko makaka-help po talaga ‘yun sa mga scenes, and sa mga promotions. And alam naman po ng ibang mga fans na since friends lang po kami, gumagala rin po kami together.”
Magtalas and Orquia star in the upcoming film ‘Magic Hurts’ with Maxine Trinidad, Angelica Jones, Dennis Padilla, Claudine Barretto, Arianna Barretto, Archie Adamos, Aileen Papin, Blumark Roces, Pantene Palanca, Cassie Kim, Dennah Bautista, Ricardo Cepeda, and Julian Roxas.
‘Magic Hurts,’ directed by Gabby Ramos, premieres soon in cinemas and on streaming platforms.
