In a guesting on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ on July 13, Kapuso Actress Bea Alonzo revealed that she is not afraid of eventually fading into obscurity as an artist.
During the interview, host Boy Abunda asked Alonzo if she fears the possibility of losing her popularity.
“I’ll put it very very frankly, using a very strong word, natatakot ka bang malaos?”
Alonzo confidently answered the question.
“Sa totoo Tito Boy, hindi. To be totally honest with you. Because I believe lahat tayo darating doon. You have to be gracious about it. You have to be able to pass the baton to another… with grace,”
She further explained that after having one’s time on the spotlight and achieving personal goals, it is essential to give others the opportunity to shine and to gracefully accept the natural progression of one’s career.
“Because you’ve had your time, you were able to do the things that you wanted to do and it’s about time to give the chance to others and you always have to be gracious about it.”
Expressing her gratitude to her supporters, Alonzo mentioned that she is happy that her body of work is still appreciated online and through social media. She believes that her past characters will always be immortalized.
