At the media conference for the new GMA Network show ‘Battle of the Judges’ on July 9, Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo was asked about her reaction to Julia Barretto replacing her in the Philippine adaptation of ‘A moment to Remember.’
Alonzo chose not to give any significance to the matter and emphasized the importance of moving on since the past is already behind them.
It is worth noting that Barretto is currently in a relationship with Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson who happens to be Alonzo’s ex-boyfriend.
Last month, netizens were intrigued by the news of Barretto being cast as the second choice for the project, considering Alonzo’s previous involvement alongside Kapuso actor Alden Richards.
The film is an upcoming adaptation of the 2004 Korean melodrama film ‘A Moment to Remember,’ which actually tells the story of a woman who is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. The original film starred Jung Woo-sung and Son Ye-Jin.
Alonzo is currently in a relationship with Dominic Roque whom she described as responsible and with whom she finds happiness.
Hosted by Richards, ‘Battle of the Judges’ stars Alonzo with Boy Abunda, Jose Manalo, and Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes. Alonzo expressed her happiness for being part of the show which will start airing on July 15.
