In a media interview last July 9, Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo extended warm welcome to the Philippine noontime show ‘It’s Showtime’ and expressed her desire to guest on the show in the future.
Alonzo expressed her happiness and welcomed the ‘It’s Showtime’ family to GTV.
“I’m happy and want to welcome the [It’s] Showtime family sa GTV and hopefully one day makapag-guest din ako kapag less busy na kasi of course I wanna see them all again.”
Alonzo also expressed her gratitude and happiness towards GMA for welcoming everyone in their network. She highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for collaboration.
“But ‘yon nga, I’m happy na nawawala na ‘yong borders kumbaga lahat pwede nang [sumali]. And of course just like me, how the GMA family welcomed me here.
“[So] kahit na sino pa ang papasok sa pintuan ng GMA, pagbubuksan namin siya and we will open our arms for all them.”
A former Kapamilya artist for nearly two decades, Alonzo signed a contract with GMA Network on July 1, 2021, at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel. Her move to GMA was a significant transition, and her positive outlook reflects the growing harmony between the two networks.
Alonzo serves as a judge on the newest GMA show called ‘Battle of the Judges.’ She will be joined by Boy Abunda, Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, and Jose Manalo, with Alden Richards as the host. This ultimate talent competition will be the first of its kind in Asia and will be aired on GMA starting July 15.
Meanwhile, it is becoming evident that ABS-CBN and GMA Network are moving towards a better relationship. GMA’s warm reception of ABS-CBN’s ‘It’s Showtime’ on GTV signifies a positive step towards unity and collaboration.
