In a media interview on July 9, Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo expressed her appreciation of Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo and his wife, fellow Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado, for leading a very private family life.
When asked about her teleserye experience with Trillo, Alonzo praised his acting skills and said that he is one of the most commended actors in their batch.
She shared, “Sobrang Okay siya… he’s a very good actor… kasi isa siya sa laging na-co-commend sa batch namin. Pero ‘yong journey niya as an actor ngayon, feel ko I’m so impressed.”
Alonzo also expressed her admiration for Trillo and Mercado’s private family dynamics.
“Naa-appreciate ko na very private ‘yong pamilya nila ni Jennylyn. Natutuwa ako dun sa dynamics nila nina Jennylyn, tsaka lagi kong tinatanong ‘Eh so paano ‘yong baby niyo?’ kasi one day, magkakaroon din ako.”
Alonzo then mentioned that her TV series with Trillo ‘Love Before Sunrise’ already has a target airing date even if they are still not done with taping. The show airs on September 25.
Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony in November 2021. They have a daughter named Dylan Jayde Ho, who recently celebrated her first birthday.
Last October, Trillo opened up about his and Mercado’s second chance at love, revealing that he was the first one to reach out to her after their breakup years ago.
Despite the ups and downs they have faced, Trillo and Mercado have remained together, enjoying a peaceful family life. Their privacy and stability have earned admiration not only from netizens but also from Alonzo herself.
Currently, Trillo is busy with upcoming projects, including his collaboration with Bea Alonzo in the GMA-7 and VIU Philippines series ‘Love Before Sunrise’ and the suspense murder thriller ‘Severino,’ which revolves around the Philippines’ first documented serial killer.
As Trillo continues to excel in his acting career and fulfill his roles as a husband and a father, many people admire his sense of responsibility and find inspiration in his journey.
Meanwhile, Alonzo serves as a judge on the GMA show ‘Battle of the Judges,’ alongside Jose Manalo, Boy Abunda, and Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, with Alden Richards as host. The show will have its pilot episode on July 15.
