On the show’s pilot episode titled ‘Battle of the Best,’ the first stage of elimination took place. Four performers from each judge’s squad Boy Abunda, Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, Jose Manalo, and Bea Alonzo competed in two battles.
The episode showcased early clashes between the judges themselves, as Boy and Annette’s squad members went head-to-head, just like Bea and Jose’s squad members.
By the end of the episode, Nocturnal Dance Company (represented by Boy) and Moses Gozun (represented by Bea) emerged as the first contestants to advance to the next level of the competition.
Hosted by Alden Richards and directed by Rico Gutierrez, ‘Battle of the Judges’ airs Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. on GMA Network.
