The ratings of two Kapuso afternoon dramas, Abot Kamay Na Pangarap (AKNP) and Luv Is: Love at First Read (LAFR), present a striking contrast.
Based on the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey, AKNP remains to be the number one daytime program in the country.
On Monday, July 3, AKNP achieved a rating of 11.8 percent, securing the fourth position on the leaderboard.
On Tuesday, July 4, AKNP experienced a slight decline of 0.8 percent, reaching 11.0 percent, but maintained its fourth-place ranking.
The following day, Wednesday, July 5, the popular Kapuso afternoon drama swiftly bounced with a 0.7 percent increase in ratings, reaching 11.7 percent.
However, on Thursday, July 6, AKNP faced another setback, with ratings dropping by 0.8 percent to 10.9 percent while still maintaining its fourth-place position on the leaderboard.
In contrast, Kapuso afternoon teen drama ‘Luv Is: Love at First Read’ continues to struggle in the ratings game.
On Monday, July 3, LAFR garnered a rating of 4.1 percent, placing 13th on the rating chart.
The next day, Tuesday, July 4, LAFR’s ratings further declined to 3.8 percent but managed to maintain its 13th spot.
On Wednesday, July 5, the series starring Kyline Alcantara and Mavy Legaspi experienced a slight increase of 0.1 percent, reaching 3.9 percent but still maintaining its 13th ranking.
On Thursday, July 6, the series made some progress, with a 0.7 percent increase to 4.6 percent, moving up three notches to reach the 11th spot.
Nevertheless, LAFR’s average ratings and leaderboard ranking still fall significantly behind its predecessors in GMA’s Afternoon block, particularly in comparison to the show it replaced, Family Feud, which was formerly the number one daytime program in the country.
