One of the members of XOXO Girls, Muriel Lomadilla, recently shared her reaction to her non-inclusion in the revamped ‘Eat Bulaga!’
Reports say that TAPE Inc. made the decision to exclude her to steer clear of the heated issues surrounding ‘Eat Bulaga!’ because of her inclusion in Vic Sotto’s new sitcom, ‘Open 24/7.’
After the media conference for GMA Network’s latest afternoon drama, ‘Magandang Dilag,’ Lomadilla explained why she is not part of the XOXO Girls performing regularly on the revamped Kapuso noontime show.
“Kasi po, parang hindi lang po kami nag-try mag-usap… parang out of ano lang din po, parang respect po. Kasi nauna po yun [Open 24/7].
“Pero yung goal lang po ng XOXO sana is to be seen as a group kaming apat. So, naghanap lang po kami for so long ng avenue na kaming apat yung ipapakita sa TV for promotion.
She also shared her happiness for their group and the exposure they are getting on the noontime show.
“Ako po, happy naman po ako for them. Ang amin naman po as a group, maging successful po no matter what.
Despite her absence from ‘Eat Bulaga!.’ Muriel is an integral part of the cast of ‘Magandang Dilag’ where she plays Donna, the best friend of Gigi played by Herlene Budol.
That is the reason why she remains grateful that she can continue working despite not being part of the regular XOXO group on ‘Eat Bulaga!’
