On June 5, the longest-running noontime show ‘Eat Bulaga’ returned to its live telecast with a roster of new hosts led by Paolo Contis.
The change in the program prompted questions about the state of the show and its advertisers.
On Twitter, a certain Majasty Slayvador who seemed to have dealings with TAPE/GMA, gave a snapshot regarding the state of their agreement with TAPE Inc. and the possible future of the noontime show.
The tweet claimed that while the show remains to have a consistent revenue through advertisements agreements, viewers should monitor the ad count after a month or two, noting the importance of TV ratings.
Dahil we book our ads 3 months before implementation, nakakasa na ang ads namin sa Tape/GMA. No chance na kami to transfer dahil may cost implications.
Putok pa din ang ads nila now but check natin ad count after 1- 2 months. Ratings pa din talaga at the end of the day. https://t.co/TVuDVnBsOH
