On June 10, Kapuso star Vin Abrenica reacted to his brother, Allen Abrenica, working on his first movie, ‘Monday First Screening.’
At the media conference for ‘The Revelation,’ which LionhearTV covered, Vin admitted that he had no clue about Allen’s first Pinoy film role.
“Yes nakita ko ‘yan eh. I have no clue at all na papasok siya doon. Nagulat na lang kami na kasama niya ang kaniyang– I don’t know eh, super close na girl. I don’t know kung girlfriend niya or super best friend niya. Nag-post na mayroon daw silang ginagawang pelikula.
“So sa kanila ko pa nalaman na, ‘Oh my God’ na pumasok ka pala. Hindi niya sinabi sa amin ni Kuya.”
He noted how the Abrenica siblings often surprise their family when doing showbiz projects.
“Well, reaction bilang kapatid, isa nga siyang Abrenica na hindi nagsasabi ng plano na nanonorpresa na lang sila. Like what my brother did, first naman like noong nag-audition siya, hindi ‘yun pinayagan, nagsorpresa. Also for me, sinorpresa ko lang sila. At ngayon ganon din ‘yung ginawa niya. So surprising na nalaman ko na ganon, but in a way na, ‘Hmm, Abrenica ‘yan, kayang-kaya niyang gawin ‘yan.'”
He then affirmed how proud he was of his brother’s first movie project.
“I’m proud of him, actually ang ganda ng mga eksena niya. Gwapong-gwapo siya. Alam mo para akong nakakita ng fresh na fresh na bata on screen. Also nakaka-proud.”
As for his upcoming film, Vin Abrenica stars in the co-production of House of Prime Films and Hand Held Entertainment Production, ‘The Revelation,’ with Jelai Andres, Ana Jalandoni, and Aljur Abrenica.
‘The Revelation,’ a story created by Joyzell Dulay and produced by Kate Javier, follows the story of Vincent, head of the NBI (National Bureau of Investigation), as he hunts after a serial killer on the loose.
Under Ray An Dulay’s direction, ‘The Revelation’ opens in cinemas on June 21.
