In an exclusive interview on April 27, Vilmark Viray, the talented artist and former contestant of The Clash, opened up about his dual career and expressed deep gratitude toward his management for their unwavering support and understanding of his busy schedule.
“I’m just really thankful with my management, with my work, kapag nagpapaalam ako, they take consideration of my schedule,” Viray shared.
Despite the challenges, Viray never fails to allocate time to his passion for singing.
“I always make sure na magkaroon ng schedule for this.”
Moreover, Viray revealed his excitement about releasing his album soon, showcasing his ambition to further establish himself as a solo artist.
Viray’s journey began during his college years when he would sing and sideline as a means of expression and additional income. However, after graduation, he temporarily paused his singing pursuits to focus on passing the board exams for electronics engineering.
“During college, kumakanta ako, suma-sideline ako. Right after graduation po, nag-stop ako sa singing, nag-take ako ng boards. Luckily, napasa po yung boards. After makahanap ng first job, nag-pursue rin ako ng Masters. Pero tinawag pa rin ako ng pagkanta,” Viray revealed, highlighting his unwavering commitment to his passion for music.
When asked about the difficulties of balancing two demanding careers, Viray admitted, “Mahirap pagsabayin ang work at singing career. Pero pag gusto mo talaga, gagawa ka ng paraan.
“’Pag passion mo rin kasi, it’s hard to say, ‘No’ at ‘yung puso ko laging nasa pag-kanta kaya I always try my best to fit everything in my schedule.”
