In her interview with ’24 Oras,’ main ‘It’s Showtime’ host Vice Ganda shared about their transfer to GTV.
Ganda shared that she is thankful for the Kapuso channel’s opportunity after TVJ officially became part of TV5.
We feel so special and we are very grateful to GTV,” she said.
The comedian also revealed that there is more to expect from ‘It’s Showtime’ on GTV as they prepared a lot of surprises.
Sobra kaming nagpapasalamat do’n at di namin saasayangin,” Ganda added.
The A-lister clarified that they do not hold any negative feelings towards TVJ.
“We don’t feel bad sa TVJ, wala kaming anong ganon hah.
Recently, Vice Ganda posted on Instagram an ‘open letter’ to the show’s viewers encouraging them during their time of confusion. She posted her letter with the caption “Para sa mahal kong Pamilya.”
In the letter, Ganda acknowledged the mixed feelings of their audience with the sudden announcements. However, she assured them that they will continue to brave the challenges like they always did.
The host further remarked that the love of their loyal viewers kept them alive. She emphasized, “Ang puso ng Madlang People ang TOTOONG TAHANAN natin.”
Ganda continued that they will pursue giving entertainment to the people. The host then ended her letter with these words: “Itutuloy natin ang saya. Dito at doon. Damhin mo ang mahigpit kong yakap. Mahal na mahal kita!”
In the interview, Ganda also thanked the Kapuso stars and Kapuso viewers for their overwhelming support.
The agreement of ‘It’s Showtime’ with TV5 ends on June 30. The upcoming TVJ show on the channel will take the noontime slot beginning July 1.
An alternative contract renewal was offered to ‘It’s Showtime’ with an afternoon slot, 4:30-6:30 PM on TV5. However, the show refused the offer and chose to transfer to GTV which provided them a noontime slot. ‘It’s Showtime’ will be seen on GTV also on July 1.
