On the June 23 episode of ‘It’s Showtime,’ ‘Unkabogable Star’ Vice Ganda made another remark on live TV which netizens speculated to be a shade towards TV5.
In the show’s segment ‘Rampanalo,‘ the contestants were asked what number they liked from the 10 numbers held by the hosts. Ganda, along with co-host Tyang Amy Perez, also asked the ‘madlang pipol’ what number they wanted.
Perez noticed that majority of the audience signaled ‘5’ and remarked, “Parang lahat number 5.”
Ganda then made the decision to choose the number herself because of the indecisive crowd. “Seven ang number natin,” the host said.
Since the segment requires two numbers, they need to look for another. Perez asked, “Sino kaya ang magiging ka-partner niya, Meme (Vice)?”
“Magandang ka-partner ng 7 ay 2,” Ganda claimed.
This prompted the netizens to think of this remark as a shade towards TV5 who decided to house TVJ (Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon) and their new show on the noontime slot.

A lot of netizens laughed at the perceived shade and agreed with the host, claiming that it was okay for the show to throw shade at the channel for not making them a priority.
Pag di ka priority ok lang mangshade.

However, there were also disagreements which claimed that TV5 still owns the game show ‘Everybody, Sing!’, also hosted by Vice Ganda.
nkklk si vice diba nasa tv5 din yung everybody sing. i’d stop the inuendos if i was her. lol

The issue started with TVJ and the Dabarkads leaving TAPE Inc., the producer of ‘Eat Bulaga!.’ TV5, the channel in agreement with ABS-CBN to house ‘It’s Showtime,’ announced that they will accommodate the TVJ Productions Inc.’s show on their noontime slot, replacing ‘It’s Showtime’ until the agreement with ABS-CBN ends on June 30.
At the media conference held by TV5, they clarified that ‘It’s Showtime’ was not ‘bumped off.’ As the agreement with ABS-CBN ends on June 30, TV5 offered an afternoon time slot for ‘It’s Showtime.’
Prior to the media conference, ABS-CBN released an announcement on the transfer of ‘It’s Showtime’ to GMA Network’s GTV, signifying their refusal to accept TV5’s offer. The show will start their broadcast on GTV on July 1.
Later on, Ganda was interviewed by ’24 Oras’ regarding the issue where she claimed that she does not bear any hatred towards TVJ.
The question remains: Is Vice Ganda really throwing shade at TV5 or is this merely the netizens’ speculations?
