The recent ending of the longest-running noontime show, Eat Bulaga and the resignation of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon (TVJ) from TAPE Inc on May 31 affected the feelings of many celebrities and netizens alike.
Many have expressed their attachment toward the show claiming that their noontime will never be the same again after its ending.
However, many speculate that this may not be the ending for the show.
De Leon, one of the hosts of Eat Bulaga, posted on Instagram a video of their official statement with the caption, “We’re not signing off…we are just taking a day off!”

TVJ also concluded its official statement with the cryptic line:
“SAAN MAN KAMI DALHIN NG TADHANA, TULOY ANG ISANG LIBO’T ISANG TUWA.”
Some celebrities also believe that this is the case. Ex-Dabarkads, Ice Seguerra’s Instagram caption reads:
“Ang Eat Bulaga ay Eat Bulaga. Kahit saang network sila mapadpad, walang paltos silang makakalipad.”

Eat Bulaga started its runtime on July 30 in the year 1979 and continued its show until recently. The noontime show boasts 43 years of broadcasting and traveled on different networks. The show started at RPN9 and transferred to ABS-CBN before airing on GMA Network.
The show featured different segments such as Pinoy Henyo and Juan For All, All for Juan which brought laughter and inspiration to numerous Filipinos. The future for the show is uncertain but the nation will continue to mourn its favorite noontime show until then.
