On June 8, seasoned actor Tirso Cruz III detailed how he maintains a fresh perspective for every role.
At the media conference for the Kapuso series ‘Royal Blood’, which LionhearTV covered, Cruz said he considered every new project a challenge to keep himself on his toes.
As for his upcoming Kapuso project, he revealed that the stars of ‘Royal Blood’ don’t know the identity of the show’s ‘real killer.’
“Di ba when you think about it, ako nga rin iniisip ko eh, kahit na magka-eksena kami eh, sino kaya sa kanila talaga ang papatay sa akin? I could suspect, gaya ng tinanong ninyo kanina si Dingdong, lahat talaga pagsu-suspetsahan mo. Pero, that’s the beauty of it na sometimes, hanggang pag-uwi ko, iisipin ko, sino nga kaya at tsaka bakit hindi nila pinaalam sa akin.”
He noted how the behind-the-scenes mystery among the cast and crew kept him interested in his role.
“I think that gives us all of us here, it becomes more interesting if you have the drive to really make good. Kasi halimbawa ikaw, let’s put you in the spot na sa kanila, halimbawa sinabi ko sayo na kasama ka sa show na ito, pero suspetsa ka, pero may papatay sayo pero hindi mo alam kung sino.
Cruz joined the showbiz industry in 1969 as part of the show D’Musical Teenage Idols! Some of his notable projects are ‘Bilangin Mo Ang Bituin Sa Langit’, ‘Kahit Buhay Ko’, and ‘Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa’.
‘Royal Blood’ stars Dingdong Dantes with Megan Young, Dion Ignacio, Mikael Daez, Lianne Valentin, Rhian Ramos, Rabiya Mateo, Benjie Paras, Arthur Solinap, Cruz, Andrew Schimmer, John Feir, Carmen Soriano, James Graham, Princess Aliyah, Aidan Veneracion, and Sienna Stevens.
The Kapuso murder mystery, directed by Dominic Zapata, airs on GMA Network primetime starting June 19.
