Hailing from Thailand’s What The Duck Record Label, singer-songwriter Gabe Watkins will be releasing his new single ‘Feels Like Home’ this Tuesday (June 20) across all streaming platforms.
Gabe Watkins is a Thai-Australian singer-songwriter who has released notable works in recent years such as ‘Flowers From Japan’, ‘Sunsets’, ‘the rush’ and ‘choose u everytime’. With his latest single ‘Feels Like Home’, he hopes to convey a warm feeling of being with a significant other, but the story he is telling ends on a melancholic note with a farewell.
Like many of Gabe’s songs, ‘Feels Like Home’ discusses the comfort and sense of security that one feels while being with someone, and the sorrow that sets in when the relationship ends. While one party can move on, the other one usually remains in the same place, continuing to reminisce about the old times that can still bring a comforting warmth.
‘Feels Like Home’ is personally composed, arranged and produced by Gabe Watkins.
Signed under Thailand’s famed What The Duck label, home to well-known Thai acts like Valentina Ploy, Plastic Plastic, The Toys, Musketeers, and Hers, Gabe Watkins released his first single ‘One Summer’ in 2021, and has been steadily releasing his original works since, with singles like “Sunsets” and “Flowers From Japan” achieving over 200,000 streams on Spotify as he continues to grow. Since his debut, he has attracted fans from all across the region, being a Thai-based artist performing in English, and has even caught the attention of listeners as far as Malaysia and Taiwan.
