After ABS-CBN’s announcement on June 20 that ‘It’s Showtime’ is moving to GMA Network’s GTV channel, GMA Headwriter Suzette Doctolero added to the hype with a tweet featuring a picture of the show.
The tweet was captioned with “G na G na!!!!! (emojis).”

Doctolero followed it with a statement in a now-deleted tweet about the exciting noontime on GMA and GTV as the revamped ‘Eat Bulaga!’ currently airs on GMA and ‘It’s Showtime’ airs on GTV soon.
“Exciting ang noontime ng both GMA at GTV ah! And welcome to GMA-7 Showtime peeps,” she wrote.
The two noontime shows were previously pitted against each other as fans debated on which show was better. However, the recent transfer of ‘It’s Showtime’ to GTV will likely end the competition between the two shows and even between ABS-CBN and GMA.
The Kapuso headwriter concluded the deleted tweet with, “See you sa GMA Gala! (emojis)”.
The GMA Thanksgiving Gala was first held last year, July 30, 2022 to commemorate GMA’s 72nd Anniversary. All those affiliated with the network were in attendance including artists, politicians, executives, and other guests.
For their 73rd Anniversary, GMA announced that the Thanksgiving Gala for 2023 will be on July 22.
‘It’s Showtime’ hosts have yet to confirm their attendance to the Gala even as netizens already expect to see them there.
The show’s GTV broadcast will begin on July 1 on the same noontime slot and will also be available on A2Z Channel 11, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, and TFC.
