Sharon Cuneta defended Barbie Imperial after the latter was heavily bashed for allegedly snubbing the megastar.
On June 25, reports circulated about the alleged snubbing incident which triggered a wave of hatred from netizens towards Imperial.
In an Instagram post shared by Barbie featuring photos of herself alongside Angelica Panganiban and Panganiban’s daughter Baby Bean, Sharon Cuneta’s comment regarding the issue could be seen.
Cuneta wasted no time and apologized to the actress, asserting that there was no truth to the rumors. According to Cuneta, she could not recall ever meeting or encountering Imperial in person.
“Hi Barbie! A friend of mine just told me today that you have been getting some flak for supposedly snubbing me? I am so so sorry you have to go through this. I haven’t even seen you in person as far as I can remember! You have done nothing wrong,” expressed Cuneta.
She further emphasized that the issue did not originate from her camp and reassured Imperial that she had done nothing wrong. Cuneta expressed her hope of meeting the young actress someday and extended her blessings.
“I hope to meet you someday! Please be strong and remember I have no idea where this issue came from either! God bless you – and I hope you don’t mind my posting this on your comments. Take care!” concluded Cuneta.
Touched by the heartfelt message from Cuneta, Barbie Imperial replied with gratitude, saying, “@reallysharoncuneta thank you Ms. Sharon!!! (Emojis).” She then shared a screenshot of Cuneta’s reply on her Instagram Story, captioning it with “Kilig (Emojis)” to express her excitement.
Sharon Cuneta also shared a message she had sent to Imperial in her now-deleted Instagram Story, apologizing once again for the misunderstanding.

With Cuneta’s confirmation that the rumors hold no truth, it can be assured that Imperial has not done anything wrong and that the two maintain a positive relationship.
