Former Mr. Pogi finalist Rommel Galido spills piping hot tea on alleged favoritism in ‘Teen Gen’

In a spill-the-tea moment, former Mr. Pogi contestant Rommel Galido revealed behind-the-scene details of his audition for GMA Network’s ‘Teen Gen,’ which allegedly had issues of favoritism.

In a two-part Tiktok post from May 25 and 27, Galido disclosed what may get identified as ‘poor or homophobic’ treatment of an artist.

Which is, ayaw daw sa TV, no, no daw sa TV kasi alam mo na.”

Despite the discouragement, Galido continued on and showcased his acting skills when he auditioned for a role in the 2012 GMA Network series ‘Teen Gen.’

He then allegedly overheard a manager talking to one of the talents who also auditioned for the same role about not getting the part in the Kapuso series.

However, in an odd turn of events, Galido did not get the part despite receiving praises from the series director.

To rub salt into the wound, the unnamed talent he allegedly heard talking with his manager got the part.

Ending pala hindi ako kasama,” he said.

Aside from the allegations in relation to the production of ‘Teen Gen,’ Galido also claimed that their handler for ‘Mr. Pogi’ had an issue of favoritism involving another talent.

He then discussed how his fellow ‘Mr. Pogi’ contestant also had a problem with him, which he surmised was the cause of his removal from ‘Eat Bulaga.’

Pang matagalan,” he said.

Galido joined ‘Mr. Pogi’ in 2012 and landed a role in the Xian Lim-Kim Chui film ‘Bakit Di Ka Crush ng Crush Mo.’ In 2014, he joined ‘Gandang Lalake’ on ‘It’s Showtime.’

After his showbiz stint, Galido became a cabin attendant for Philippine Airlines.

He also got entangled with the Christine Dacera case in 2020, which got dismissed in 2022.
