In a May 19 press conference for Matt Lozano’s third single, ‘Liham’ under GMA Music, the actor from ‘Voltes V: Legacy’ revealed how his role as Big Bert in the GMA Network mega-series has impacted his musical journey.
Matt Lozano confessed, “Ang laking tulong din sa akin ng Voltes V. Sulitin ko na ang pagiging nasa spotlight para makita rin ng mga tao ang ibang side ng aking talento.”
The 30-year-old actor and singer also shared how actress and acting coach Ana Feleo helped him in his artistic journey, stating, “Hindi lang dahil sa Voltes V, siguro dahil din kay Ms. Ana Feleo. Minsan, nagtatanong ako sa kanya tungkol sa musika.”
Giving credit to his acting workshops, the actor also shared, “Malaking tulong rin ang artistry ng acting sa musika dahil mas alam ko kung paano haharapin ang emosyon ko ngayon dahil sa mga workshops.”
His growing career and notable role in GMA’s ‘Voltes V: Legacy’ as Big Bert was a dream come true not only for Matt but also for his mom, who apparently wasn’t very supportive of his acting career when he started.
He revealed, “Dati ayaw ako ni Mama maging artista, pero ako gustong-gusto ko. Nag-audition ako sa iba’t ibang lugar hanggang hindi na niya ako napigilan. Kaya nagkaroon kami ng pangarap na sana, paglaki mo, magkaroon ka ng ganitong proyekto. At ngayon, unti-unti na itong natutupad.”
The actor emphasized that acting is his profession and music is his passion.
