Kapuso “Primetime Queen” Marian Rivera is set to star in an upcoming GMA Network series after 4 years away from GMA Telebabad.
On June 6, Rivera was spotted at the upcoming series’ story conference along with the rest of the cast. The primetime queen will star alongside Gabby Concepcion, Max Collins, Gabby Eigenmann, Raphael Landicho, Buboy Villar, Kiray Celis, and more.
Rivera said that this is her first time working with most cast members and she’s excited to be with them.
“Very excited ako at the same time, mga bago ko silang makakatrabaho. So first time ko halos lahat makakatrabaho. Looking forward ako sa aming first day kung ano mangyayari sa amin,” the actress said.
In her interview with GMANetwork.com, Rivera said that she felt mixed emotions about returning to the scene after 4 long years.
“Mixed emotions ako, e kasi after four years magbabalik ako sa primetime. So medyo mangangapa ako sa lahat ng mga gagawin ko rito sa taping,” she said.
She said she accepted the project because of its promising “original” story. She also added that it was perfect timing because it was already her children Zia and Sixto’s summer vacation.
She said in the interview, “Perfect timing, very good project, and ‘yung mga anak ko magbabakasyon so it’s about time siguro na mas kakayanin ko ‘yung separation anxiety namin.”
Rivera added that she and her husband Dingdong Dantes who stars in another primetime series, will have to manage their time effectively to handle their upcoming projects. In addition, they will have to fulfill their parental obligations to their children.
Known for her role in Mars Ravelo’s Darna adaptation as “Darna”, Rivera is a renowned actor.
